Reasons for poor polishing performance in sheet metal processing:
First: Material. Although sheet metal fabrication typically uses stainless steel, differences in the metal content can result in varying hardness levels. If the original material has a hardness that’s too low, it’s not suitable for polishing and can only undergo simple grinding.
Second: Affected by inherent defects. Some defects on the stainless steel surface in sheet metal fabrication cannot be eliminated through polishing—for example, sand holes and pitting. Such defects can only be addressed and filled in using other methods.
Third: Even stainless steel products made from deep-drawn sheet metal may exhibit some adverse effects; however, the degree of deformation also influences their polishing performance.
